x+x^2 +x^3 +...+x^(n+1) =((1−x^(n+2) )/(1−x))  differentiating  wrt  x   1+2x+3x^2 +...+(n+1)x^(n+1)     =(((x−1)(n+2)x^(n+1) +1−x^(n+2) )/((1−x)^2 ))    =((1−(n+2)x^(n+1) +(n+1)x^(n+2) )/((1−x)^2 ))
