$$\mathrm{let}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{notebooks}\mathrm{he}\mathrm{gets}=\mathrm{x}$$$$\mathrm{and}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{pencils}\mathrm{he}\mathrm{gets}=\mathrm{y}$$$$\mathrm{the}\mathrm{linear}\mathrm{programs}\mathrm{are}:$$$$\mathrm{x}⩾3,\mathrm{y}⩾3$$$$60\mathrm{x}+36\mathrm{y}⩽360\Rightarrow 5\mathrm{x}+3\mathrm{y}⩽30$$$$\mathrm{if}\mathrm{x}=3\Rightarrow 15+3\mathrm{y}⩽30$$$$\mathrm{he}\mathrm{gets}\mathrm{y}=5\left(\mathrm{no}\mathrm{change}\right)$$$$\mathrm{if}\mathrm{x}=4\Rightarrow 20+3\mathrm{y}⩽30$$$$\mathrm{he}\mathrm{only}\mathrm{gets}\mathrm{y}=3$$$$\text{You can't use 'macro parameter character \#' in math mode}$$$$\mathrm{if}\mathrm{x}=5\Rightarrow 25+3\mathrm{y}⩽30\Rightarrow \mathrm{y}<3$$
