(i) \Rightarrow {4 \log}_{a} x - \log_{a} (x^{2} + x^{3}) = \log_{a} (\frac{x^{4}}{x^{2} + x_{}^{3}}) = \log_{a} (\frac{x^{2}}{1 + x})

(ii) \Rightarrow \log_{a} x + \log_{a} (x + 3) = \log_{a} [x (x + 3)]
