x^{2} - 1 + 3 x + x^{2} = {a x}^{2} + b x + c

2 x^{2} + 3 x - 1 = {a x}^{2} + b x + c

2 x^{2} + 3 x + (- 1) = {a x}^{2} + b x + c

a = 2, b = 3, c = - 1
