(x/6)=(y/4)=(z/k)=k x+y+z=−25 k=?
$$\frac{\mathrm{x}}{\mathrm{6}}=\frac{\mathrm{y}}{\mathrm{4}}=\frac{\mathrm{z}}{\mathrm{k}}=\mathrm{k} \\ $$$$\mathrm{x}+\mathrm{y}+\mathrm{z}=−\mathrm{25} \\ $$$$\mathrm{k}=? \\ $$

x+y+z=−25 6k+4k+k^2 =−25 k^2 +10k+25=0 (k+5)^2 =0 k=−5
$$\mathrm{x}+\mathrm{y}+\mathrm{z}=−\mathrm{25} \\ $$$$\mathrm{6k}+\mathrm{4k}+\mathrm{k}^{\mathrm{2}} =−\mathrm{25} \\ $$$$\mathrm{k}^{\mathrm{2}} +\mathrm{10k}+\mathrm{25}=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{k}+\mathrm{5}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} =\mathrm{0} \\ $$$$\mathrm{k}=−\mathrm{5} \\ $$
