1.  log_2 (y−x)=1⇒y−x=2^1 =2⇒y=x+2  y^(log_x y) =x^4   log_x (y^(log_x y) )=log_x (x^4 )=4  ⇒(log_x y)^2 =4⇒log_x y=±2  1 case:  y=x^2  and y=x+2  ⇒x^2 =x+2 or x^2 −x−2=0  ⇒x=((1±(√(1+8)))/2)=((1±3)/2)=−1;2  but since we had log_x y we need x>0 and x≠1  ⇒x=2,y=4  2 case:  y=(1/x^2 )⇒x^2 (x+2)=1⇒x^3 +2x^2 −1=0  x^3 +x^2 +x^2 −1=  =x^2 (x+1)+(x−1)(x+1)=  =(x+1)(x^2 +x−1)=0  ⇒x=−1;((−1±(√(1+4)))/2)=−1;−((1+(√5))/2);(((√5)−1)/2)  again x>0 and x≠1  ⇒x=(((√5)−1)/2),y=((3+(√5))/2)  ⇒  Ans to 1:  (x,y)∈{(2,4),((((√5)−1)/2),(((√5)+3)/2))}
