((2299)/(7x + 20))  =  11  cross multiply  ∴   11(7x + 20) = 2299  open the bracket  ∴   77x + 220  =  2299  Collect the like terms  ∴    77x = 2299 − 220  ∴    77x = 2079  Divide both side by  77  ∴    ((77x)/(77))  =  ((2079)/(77))  ∴    x  =  27
$$\frac{\mathrm{2299}}{\mathrm{7x}\:+\:\mathrm{20}}\:\:=\:\:\mathrm{11} \\ $$$$\mathrm{cross}\:\mathrm{multiply} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\mathrm{11}\left(\mathrm{7x}\:+\:\mathrm{20}\right)\:=\:\mathrm{2299} \\ $$$$\mathrm{open}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{bracket} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\mathrm{77x}\:+\:\mathrm{220}\:\:=\:\:\mathrm{2299} \\ $$$$\mathrm{Collect}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{like}\:\mathrm{terms} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\:\mathrm{77x}\:=\:\mathrm{2299}\:−\:\mathrm{220} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\:\mathrm{77x}\:=\:\mathrm{2079} \\ $$$$\mathrm{Divide}\:\mathrm{both}\:\mathrm{side}\:\mathrm{by}\:\:\mathrm{77} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\:\frac{\mathrm{77x}}{\mathrm{77}}\:\:=\:\:\frac{\mathrm{2079}}{\mathrm{77}} \\ $$$$\therefore\:\:\:\:\mathrm{x}\:\:=\:\:\mathrm{27} \\ $$

((2299)/(7x + 20)) = 11  7x + 20 = ((2299)/(11))  7x + 20 = 209  7x = 189  x = ((189)/7) = 27
$$\frac{\mathrm{2299}}{\mathrm{7}{x}\:+\:\mathrm{20}}\:=\:\mathrm{11} \\ $$$$\mathrm{7}{x}\:+\:\mathrm{20}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{2299}}{\mathrm{11}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{7}{x}\:+\:\mathrm{20}\:=\:\mathrm{209} \\ $$$$\mathrm{7}{x}\:=\:\mathrm{189} \\ $$$${x}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{189}}{\mathrm{7}}\:=\:\mathrm{27} \\ $$
