A car drives due north at 50 km/hr. Wind blows due North-West at 50(√2) km/hr. In what direction, a flag hoisted on the roof of the car points?

flag points in the direction of relative velocity of wind w.r.t. car.

Let East be i, North will be j. Car Speed = 50j Wind Speed=50j−50i Relative velocity of wind w.r.t car speed=50j−50i−50j=−50i

Sir, will it be resultant velocity of wind and car or relative velocity of wind w.r.t car that is needed in the question?
