•(i) greater than 4000 abcd a=4,5,...,9 6 ways b.... 8 ways c..... 7ways d....... 6ways Total numbers: 6∙8∙7∙6=2016 • (ii) less than 6000 5∙8∙7∙6=1680 numbers •(iii) divisible by 2 unit digit may be 2,4,6,8 4∙8∙7∙6=1344 numbers •(iv) divisible by 5 unit digit may be filled by 5 only 1∙8∙7∙6=336 numbers
