Σx(1+x^2 )^(1/2)  makes  no sense, the other   ones also.  please study at first what Σ means  and how to use it and then check your  question again.  Σ_(x=1) ^(100) x^2  makes sense.  Σ_(n=1) ^(100) x^2  makes also sense.  ∫_1 ^(100) x^2 dx makes sense.  ∫x^2 dx makes also sense.  ...
