Equal forces act on two bodies which are initially at rest,for equal times.If the ratio of the masses is 4:3,What is the ratio of the distance covered?

let the two masses be 4m & 3m  force be f  a_(4m ) = (f/(4m)) ; a_(3m ) = (f/(3m))  using second equation of motion   S_(4m  ) = (0)t + (1/2)((f/(4m)))t^2   S_(3m)  = (0)t + (1/2)((f/(3m)))t^2   ⇒ (S_(4m) /S_(3m ) ) = (3/4)
$${let}\:{the}\:{two}\:{masses}\:{be}\:\mathrm{4}{m}\:\&\:\mathrm{3}{m} \\ $$$${force}\:{be}\:{f} \\ $$$${a}_{\mathrm{4}{m}\:} =\:\frac{{f}}{\mathrm{4}{m}}\:;\:{a}_{\mathrm{3}{m}\:} =\:\frac{{f}}{\mathrm{3}{m}} \\ $$$${using}\:{second}\:{equation}\:{of}\:{motion} \\ $$$$\:{S}_{\mathrm{4}{m}\:\:} =\:\left(\mathrm{0}\right){t}\:+\:\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\left(\frac{{f}}{\mathrm{4}{m}}\right){t}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$${S}_{\mathrm{3}{m}} \:=\:\left(\mathrm{0}\right){t}\:+\:\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\left(\frac{{f}}{\mathrm{3}{m}}\right){t}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\:\frac{{S}_{\mathrm{4}{m}} }{{S}_{\mathrm{3}{m}\:} }\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{4}} \\ $$$$ \\ $$$$ \\ $$$$ \\ $$

Actually i have pivked up writting like this from my physics teacher. He would write sooo perfectly that it sometimes look funny and ridiculous .But i admired that .Even if he would put an extra “dot” he would immediately notice and rectify that. p He says that he used to make portraits.And his drawing is like that of an architect.lol
