9x:27:45=40:5y:45 9x=40⇒x=((40)/9) 5y=27⇒y=((27)/5)
$$\mathrm{9}{x}:\mathrm{27}:\mathrm{45}=\mathrm{40}:\mathrm{5}{y}:\mathrm{45} \\ $$$$\mathrm{9}{x}=\mathrm{40}\Rightarrow{x}=\frac{\mathrm{40}}{\mathrm{9}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{5}{y}=\mathrm{27}\Rightarrow{y}=\frac{\mathrm{27}}{\mathrm{5}} \\ $$

(x/8)=(3/y)=(5/9) ⇒x=((5×8)/9)=((40)/9) ⇒y=((9×3)/5)=((27)/5)
$$\frac{{x}}{\mathrm{8}}=\frac{\mathrm{3}}{{y}}=\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{9}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{x}=\frac{\mathrm{5}×\mathrm{8}}{\mathrm{9}}=\frac{\mathrm{40}}{\mathrm{9}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{y}=\frac{\mathrm{9}×\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{5}}=\frac{\mathrm{27}}{\mathrm{5}} \\ $$
