Find two primes a and b such  that               a−b=995
$$\mathrm{Find}\:\mathrm{two}\:\mathrm{primes}\:{a}\:\mathrm{and}\:{b}\:\mathrm{such} \\ $$$$\mathrm{that}\:\:\:\:\: \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:{a}−{b}=\mathrm{995} \\ $$

All prime except 2 are odd.  Differencd of 2 odd numbers is even.  Hence  b=2  a=997
$$\mathrm{All}\:\mathrm{prime}\:\mathrm{except}\:\mathrm{2}\:\mathrm{are}\:\mathrm{odd}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{Differencd}\:\mathrm{of}\:\mathrm{2}\:\mathrm{odd}\:\mathrm{numbers}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{even}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{Hence} \\ $$$${b}=\mathrm{2} \\ $$$${a}=\mathrm{997} \\ $$
