If a^{b} = b^{a} and a = 2 b then find the

value of a^{2} + b^{2} ?

{(2 b)}^{b} = b^{2 b}

2 b = b^{2}

b^{2} - 2 b = 0

b (b - 2) = 0

b = 0, 2

a = 2 b \Rightarrow a = 0, 4

0^{0} = 0^{0} ?

a^{2} + b^{2} = 0^{2} + 0^{2} = 0]

a^{2} + b^{2} = 4^{2} + 2^{2} = 16 + 4 = 20
