Sum of two numbers is even if :

either both numbers are even

or both numbers are odd .

Both even 3 \times 3 = 9

Both odd 3 \times 3 = 9

Fsvourable outcomes = 9 + 9 = 18

Total outcomes = 6 \times 6 = 36

possibility of even sum = \frac{18}{36} = \frac{1}{2}
