(a) is false.  For n = 1 for example, P(1) = −(1/3) ∉Z  (b) is true  For n = 3 for example, P(3) = 3 ∈Z
$$\left(\mathrm{a}\right)\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{false}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{For}\:{n}\:=\:\mathrm{1}\:\mathrm{for}\:\mathrm{example},\:{P}\left(\mathrm{1}\right)\:=\:−\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{3}}\:\notin\mathbb{Z} \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{b}\right)\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{true} \\ $$$$\mathrm{For}\:{n}\:=\:\mathrm{3}\:\mathrm{for}\:\mathrm{example},\:{P}\left(\mathrm{3}\right)\:=\:\mathrm{3}\:\in\mathbb{Z} \\ $$$$ \\ $$
