4^x +4^x =4^8 ...............(i) x+y=20.................(ii) y+y=? (i)⇒2.4^x =4^8 2^(2x+1) =2^(16) 2x+1=16 x=15/2 (ii)⇒y=20−x=20−((15)/2)=((25)/2) y+y=2y=2(((25)/2))=25
$$\mathrm{4}^{{x}} +\mathrm{4}^{{x}} =\mathrm{4}^{\mathrm{8}} ……………\left({i}\right) \\ $$$${x}+{y}=\mathrm{20}……………..\left({ii}\right) \\ $$$${y}+{y}=? \\ $$$$\left({i}\right)\Rightarrow\mathrm{2}.\mathrm{4}^{{x}} =\mathrm{4}^{\mathrm{8}} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\mathrm{2}^{\mathrm{2}{x}+\mathrm{1}} =\mathrm{2}^{\mathrm{16}} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\mathrm{2}{x}+\mathrm{1}=\mathrm{16} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:{x}=\mathrm{15}/\mathrm{2} \\ $$$$\left({ii}\right)\Rightarrow{y}=\mathrm{20}−{x}=\mathrm{20}−\frac{\mathrm{15}}{\mathrm{2}}=\frac{\mathrm{25}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:{y}+{y}=\mathrm{2}{y}=\mathrm{2}\left(\frac{\mathrm{25}}{\mathrm{2}}\right)=\mathrm{25} \\ $$
