let x be the side of the square  x + 2(√2) + (x/2) = 6(√2)   ((3x)/2)=4(√2)    x^2  = (((8(√2))/3))^2  = ((128)/9)u^2
$${let}\:{x}\:{be}\:{the}\:{side}\:{of}\:{the}\:{square} \\ $$$${x}\:+\:\mathrm{2}\sqrt{\mathrm{2}}\:+\:\frac{{x}}{\mathrm{2}}\:=\:\mathrm{6}\sqrt{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\:\frac{\mathrm{3}{x}}{\mathrm{2}}=\mathrm{4}\sqrt{\mathrm{2}}\: \\ $$$$\:{x}^{\mathrm{2}} \:=\:\left(\frac{\mathrm{8}\sqrt{\mathrm{2}}}{\mathrm{3}}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} \:=\:\frac{\mathrm{128}}{\mathrm{9}}{u}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$
