((2x)/3)+((5y)/3)=31 2x+5y=93 ...(i) y+((5x)/3)=30 5x+3y=90 ...(ii) from (i), (ii): x=9 y=15 (3a)^2 =x^2 +y^2 ⇒a^2 =((9^2 +15^2 )/3^2 )=34=area of small square
$$\frac{\mathrm{2}{x}}{\mathrm{3}}+\frac{\mathrm{5}{y}}{\mathrm{3}}=\mathrm{31} \\ $$$$\mathrm{2}{x}+\mathrm{5}{y}=\mathrm{93}\:\:\:…\left({i}\right) \\ $$$${y}+\frac{\mathrm{5}{x}}{\mathrm{3}}=\mathrm{30} \\ $$$$\mathrm{5}{x}+\mathrm{3}{y}=\mathrm{90}\:\:\:…\left({ii}\right) \\ $$$${from}\:\left({i}\right),\:\left({ii}\right): \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{9} \\ $$$${y}=\mathrm{15} \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{3}{a}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} ={x}^{\mathrm{2}} +{y}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{a}^{\mathrm{2}} =\frac{\mathrm{9}^{\mathrm{2}} +\mathrm{15}^{\mathrm{2}} }{\mathrm{3}^{\mathrm{2}} }=\mathrm{34}={area}\:{of}\:{small}\:{square} \\ $$
