let′s say x minutes past to 10. (2−(x/(60)))×5=x 10−(x/(12))=x x=((10×12)/(13))=9.23 m=9m14s ⇒(B) 10h 9m 14s
$$\mathrm{let}'\mathrm{s}\:\mathrm{say}\:\mathrm{x}\:\mathrm{minutes}\:\mathrm{past}\:\mathrm{to}\:\mathrm{10}. \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{2}−\frac{\mathrm{x}}{\mathrm{60}}\right)×\mathrm{5}=\mathrm{x} \\ $$$$\mathrm{10}−\frac{\mathrm{x}}{\mathrm{12}}=\mathrm{x} \\ $$$$\mathrm{x}=\frac{\mathrm{10}×\mathrm{12}}{\mathrm{13}}=\mathrm{9}.\mathrm{23}\:\mathrm{m}=\mathrm{9m14s} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\left(\mathrm{B}\right)\:\mathrm{10h}\:\mathrm{9m}\:\mathrm{14s} \\ $$

the position of minute hand is x minutes after 12 the position of hour hand is(2−(x/(60))) hours before 12, the hour hand moves in one hour so much as the minute hand in 5 minutes.
