Yes I too balanced and got (1). But answer given is

. That probably came by multiplying the whole equation by 2.

if the answer is (2), the reaction would be

4 Cu + {12 HNO}_{3} \to 4 Cu {({NO}_{3})}_{2} + 2 NO + {2 NO}_{2} + {6 H}_{2} O

it can be simplified into (1)
