∠PEM=∠ENM+∠NME                   =60^o +x  now  if △MNE  equilateral  then  x=60^o   ∠PEM=60^o +60^o =120^o
$$\angle{PEM}=\angle{ENM}+\angle{NME} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:=\mathrm{60}^{{o}} +{x} \\ $$$${now}\:\:{if}\:\bigtriangleup{MNE}\:\:{equilateral}\:\:{then}\:\:{x}=\mathrm{60}^{{o}} \\ $$$$\angle{PEM}=\mathrm{60}^{{o}} +\mathrm{60}^{{o}} =\mathrm{120}^{{o}} \\ $$
