(a/p)=(b/q)→aq=bp tw0 st line have no solution if they are parallel to each other... ax+by=c y=((−a)/b)x+(c/b) so slope m_1 =((−a)/b) similarly m_2 =((−p)/q) m_1 =m_2 ((−a)/b)=((−p)/q)→aq=bp i think so...
$$\frac{{a}}{{p}}=\frac{{b}}{{q}}\rightarrow{aq}={bp} \\ $$$${tw}\mathrm{0}\:{st}\:{line}\:{have}\:{no}\:{solution}\:{if}\:{they}\:{are}\:{parallel} \\ $$$${to}\:{each}\:{other}… \\ $$$${ax}+{by}={c} \\ $$$${y}=\frac{−{a}}{{b}}{x}+\frac{{c}}{{b}}\:\:{so}\:{slope}\:{m}_{\mathrm{1}} =\frac{−{a}}{{b}} \\ $$$${similarly}\:{m}_{\mathrm{2}} =\frac{−{p}}{{q}} \\ $$$${m}_{\mathrm{1}} ={m}_{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\frac{−{a}}{{b}}=\frac{−{p}}{{q}}\rightarrow{aq}={bp} \\ $$$${i}\:{think}\:{so}… \\ $$
