The number of reading books is 1248 in a library. The number of story books is 936. The librarians bought more reading books. Now ((The number of Reading books)/(The number of story books )) = ((11)/5). How many reading books were bought ?

((1248+x)/(936))=(3/4) 4(1248+x)=3×936 4992+4x=2808 4x=−2184 x=−546 So your question is wrong If ratio is (4/3) then books bought is 0.
$$\frac{\mathrm{1248}+{x}}{\mathrm{936}}=\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{4}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{4}\left(\mathrm{1248}+{x}\right)=\mathrm{3}×\mathrm{936} \\ $$$$\mathrm{4992}+\mathrm{4}{x}=\mathrm{2808} \\ $$$$\mathrm{4}{x}=−\mathrm{2184} \\ $$$${x}=−\mathrm{546} \\ $$$$\mathrm{So}\:\mathrm{your}\:\mathrm{question}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{wrong} \\ $$$$\mathrm{If}\:\mathrm{ratio}\:\mathrm{is}\:\frac{\mathrm{4}}{\mathrm{3}}\:\mathrm{then}\:\mathrm{books}\:\mathrm{bought}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{0}. \\ $$
