(3/4)x+(5/2)x = 13  x = ((13)/((3/4)+(5/2))) = ((13)/((3+10)/4)) = ((13)/((13)/4)) = 4
$$\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{4}}{x}+\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{2}}{x}\:=\:\mathrm{13} \\ $$$${x}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{13}}{\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{4}}+\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{2}}}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{13}}{\frac{\mathrm{3}+\mathrm{10}}{\mathrm{4}}}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{13}}{\frac{\mathrm{13}}{\mathrm{4}}}\:=\:\mathrm{4} \\ $$
