Two passenger trains, A and B, 450km apart, start to move towards each other at the same time and meet after 2 hours. If train B, travels (8/7) as fast as train A, find the speed of each train.

speed of train A=7v km/hrs speed oc train B=(8/7)×7v=8v km/hrs so ((450)/(7v+8v))=2 ((30)/v)=2 →v=15km/hrs speed of A=7×15=105 km/hrs speed of B=8×15=120 km/hrs
$${speed}\:{of}\:{train}\:{A}=\mathrm{7}{v}\:{km}/{hrs} \\ $$$${speed}\:{oc}\:{train}\:{B}=\frac{\mathrm{8}}{\mathrm{7}}×\mathrm{7}{v}=\mathrm{8}{v}\:{km}/{hrs} \\ $$$${so}\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\frac{\mathrm{450}}{\mathrm{7}{v}+\mathrm{8}{v}}=\mathrm{2}\: \\ $$$$\frac{\mathrm{30}}{{v}}=\mathrm{2}\:\rightarrow{v}=\mathrm{15}{km}/{hrs} \\ $$$${speed}\:{of}\:{A}=\mathrm{7}×\mathrm{15}=\mathrm{105}\:{km}/{hrs} \\ $$$${speed}\:{of}\:{B}=\mathrm{8}×\mathrm{15}=\mathrm{120}\:{km}/{hrs} \\ $$$$ \\ $$

Thanks very much sir, but how is speed of train A=7v km/hr?

i have taken speed A=7v because i can caculate easily to find speed of B 7v×(8/7)=8v you can take speed for A=v speed of B =(8/7)×v ((450)/(v+((8v)/7)))=2 ((450×7)/(15v))=2 2v=30×7 v=105 km/hr→speed of A 105×(8/7).=15×8=120 km/hr speed of B
