what is the coefficient of x^5 in the expansion (1+x^2 )(1+x)^4
$$\mathrm{what}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{coefficient}\:\mathrm{of}\:\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{5}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{in}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{expansion}\:\left(\mathrm{1}+\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{2}} \right)\left(\mathrm{1}+\mathrm{x}\right)^{\mathrm{4}} \\ $$

in a long way   (1+x^2 )(x^4 +4x^3 +6x^2 +4x+1)  so that cofficient of x^5  = 4.
$$\mathrm{in}\:\mathrm{a}\:\mathrm{long}\:\mathrm{way}\: \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{1}+\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{2}} \right)\left(\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{4}} +\mathrm{4x}^{\mathrm{3}} +\mathrm{6x}^{\mathrm{2}} +\mathrm{4x}+\mathrm{1}\right) \\ $$$$\mathrm{so}\:\mathrm{that}\:\mathrm{cofficient}\:\mathrm{of}\:\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{5}} \:=\:\mathrm{4}.\: \\ $$
