Yesterday Mr John did 100% of mowing-lawn-work and earned 50$. Today Mr John did 60% so he earned 60% of 50$ i-e 30$.Obviously the remaining 40% work(worth 20$) did another person, which is Mr Jacob. Hence Mr Jacob earned 20$ today.
$$\mathrm{Yesterday}\:\mathrm{Mr}\:\mathrm{John}\:\mathrm{did}\:\mathrm{100\%}\:\mathrm{of} \\ $$$$\mathrm{mowing}-\mathrm{lawn}-\mathrm{work}\:\mathrm{and}\:\mathrm{earned} \\ $$$$\mathrm{50\$}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{Today}\:\mathrm{Mr}\:\mathrm{John}\:\mathrm{did}\:\mathrm{60\%}\:\mathrm{so}\:\mathrm{he}\:\mathrm{earned} \\ $$$$\mathrm{60\%}\:\mathrm{of}\:\mathrm{50\$}\:\mathrm{i}-\mathrm{e}\:\mathrm{30\$}.\mathrm{Obviously}\:\mathrm{the} \\ $$$$\mathrm{remaining}\:\mathrm{40\%}\:\mathrm{work}\left(\mathrm{worth}\:\mathrm{20\$}\right) \\ $$$$\mathrm{did}\:\mathrm{another}\:\mathrm{person},\mathrm{which}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{Mr} \\ $$$$\mathrm{Jacob}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{Hence}\:\mathrm{Mr}\:\mathrm{Jacob}\:\mathrm{earned}\:\mathrm{20\$}\:\mathrm{today}. \\ $$
