Find the area of a square if the sum

of the diagonals is 100 cm .

2 d = 100

\Rightarrow d = 50 c m

\Rightarrow a = \frac{d}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{50}{\sqrt{2}}

\Rightarrow A = a^{2} = {(\frac{50}{\sqrt{2}})}^{2} = \frac{2500}{2} = 1250 {c m}^{2}
