R=radius of circle  ((2R)/a)=(√2)  ⇒R=(a/( (√2)))  area of circle =πR^2 =((πa^2 )/2)
$${R}={radius}\:{of}\:{circle} \\ $$$$\frac{\mathrm{2}{R}}{{a}}=\sqrt{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{R}=\frac{{a}}{\:\sqrt{\mathrm{2}}} \\ $$$${area}\:{of}\:{circle}\:=\pi{R}^{\mathrm{2}} =\frac{\pi{a}^{\mathrm{2}} }{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$
