l o g (x^{2} + 7 x - 5) = 2 l o g (x + 2)

l o g (x^{2} + 7 x - 5) = l o g {(x + 2)}^{2}

\Rightarrow x^{2} + 7 x - 5 = x^{2} + 4 x + 4

\Rightarrow 7 x - 4 x = 9

∴ x = 3
