2×0.5=10×(0.5−x) ⇒x=0.4 ⇒gravity center is 0.4 m apart from the other end of the rod.
$$\mathrm{2}×\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{5}=\mathrm{10}×\left(\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{5}−{x}\right) \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{x}=\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{4} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{gravity}\:{center}\:{is}\:\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{4}\:{m}\:{apart}\:{from} \\ $$$${the}\:{other}\:{end}\:{of}\:{the}\:{rod}. \\ $$
