Assuming a,b∈N a(a+b)=88 ; a<a+b a(a+b)=1×88⇒a=1,b=87 a(a+b)=2×44⇒a=2,b=42 a(a+b)=4×22⇒a=4,b=18 a(a+b)=8×11⇒a=8,b=3
$${Assuming}\:{a},{b}\in\mathbb{N} \\ $$$${a}\left({a}+{b}\right)=\mathrm{88}\:;\:{a}<{a}+{b} \\ $$$${a}\left({a}+{b}\right)=\mathrm{1}×\mathrm{88}\Rightarrow{a}=\mathrm{1},{b}=\mathrm{87} \\ $$$${a}\left({a}+{b}\right)=\mathrm{2}×\mathrm{44}\Rightarrow{a}=\mathrm{2},{b}=\mathrm{42} \\ $$$${a}\left({a}+{b}\right)=\mathrm{4}×\mathrm{22}\Rightarrow{a}=\mathrm{4},{b}=\mathrm{18} \\ $$$${a}\left({a}+{b}\right)=\mathrm{8}×\mathrm{11}\Rightarrow{a}=\mathrm{8},{b}=\mathrm{3} \\ $$
