x+y+(3/5)(x+y)=16=((8(x+y))/5)⇒x+y=10
$${x}+{y}+\frac{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{5}}\left({x}+{y}\right)=\mathrm{16}=\frac{\mathrm{8}\left({x}+{y}\right)}{\mathrm{5}}\Rightarrow{x}+{y}=\mathrm{10} \\ $$
