g=b+5 =b+2+3       ....(i)  (g/(b+2))=(5/4)   ⇒   b+2=((4g)/5)  using in (i):     g=((4g)/5)+3  ⇒   ((5g)/5)−((4g)/5)=3      ⇒   (g/5)=3    So number of girls =g= 15 .
$${g}={b}+\mathrm{5}\:={b}+\mathrm{2}+\mathrm{3}\:\:\:\:\:\:\:….\left({i}\right) \\ $$$$\frac{{g}}{{b}+\mathrm{2}}=\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{4}}\:\:\:\Rightarrow\:\:\:{b}+\mathrm{2}=\frac{\mathrm{4}{g}}{\mathrm{5}} \\ $$$${using}\:{in}\:\left({i}\right): \\ $$$$\:\:\:{g}=\frac{\mathrm{4}{g}}{\mathrm{5}}+\mathrm{3} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\:\:\:\frac{\mathrm{5}{g}}{\mathrm{5}}−\frac{\mathrm{4}{g}}{\mathrm{5}}=\mathrm{3}\:\:\:\: \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\:\:\:\frac{{g}}{\mathrm{5}}=\mathrm{3}\:\: \\ $$$${So}\:{number}\:{of}\:{girls}\:={g}=\:\mathrm{15}\:. \\ $$
