Let f(x)= x+∣x∣−1.   Find lim_(x→0^+ )  ((f(x)−f(0))/(x−0)) and lim_(x→0^− )  ((f(x)−f(0))/(x−0)).  Hence, determine whether f(x) is   differentiable at x=0.

f(x)= { ((−1 if x<0)),((2x−1 if x>0)) :}  f(0)=−1  ((f(x)−f(0))/x)= { (((0/x) x<0)),((2 x>0)) :}

lim_(x→o^+ )    ((f(x)−f(0))/(x−0))=lim_(x→0^+ )    ((2x−1+1)/x) =lim_(x→0^+ )   ((2x)/x)=2  lim_(x→0^− )    ((f(x)−f(0))/(x−0))=lim_(x→0^− )    ((x−x−1+1)/x)=lim_(x→0^− )   (0/0^− )=0  f is not differenciale at x_0 =0
