yes the answer is (C) net induced  charge on the sphere is zero.If charges  can neither flow onto or off the   spherical shell the net charge cannot  change(0).  and also because itcan not acquire   or give up charge.

To my own point of view sir   Tinkutara if the shell can′t acquire or  give up charge ..net charge cannot   change..like i said its like a poker game  ...you can play with your friends,  money can only move around.some  of you might lose money some might   gain but the net change in money   for all of you is zero.  Begining=End (0)

Because electric field inside the sphere should also be 0.

yes your right but i think c  is the best answer
