We have sin A = ± (√(1−cos^2 A)) then 3sin A = 2−cos A , square to get 9sin^2 A = (2−cos A)^2 9−9cos^2 A = cos^2 A−4cos A+4 10cos^2 A−4cos A−5= 0 cos A = ((4± (√(16+4.50)))/(20)) = ((4 ± 2(√(54)))/(20)) cos A = ((2±3(√6))/(10))
