find x inthe eqn. 3^x −1=x^3
$$\mathrm{find}\:\mathrm{x}\:\mathrm{inthe}\:\mathrm{eqn}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{3}^{\mathrm{x}} −\mathrm{1}=\mathrm{x}^{\mathrm{3}} \\ $$

two solutions are obvious x=0 x=2 two other solutions found by drawing f(x)=3^x −x^3 −1 and then approximating x=−.845839 x=3.22064
$$\mathrm{two}\:\mathrm{solutions}\:\mathrm{are}\:\mathrm{obvious} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{2} \\ $$$$\mathrm{two}\:\mathrm{other}\:\mathrm{solutions}\:\mathrm{found}\:\mathrm{by}\:\mathrm{drawing} \\ $$$${f}\left({x}\right)=\mathrm{3}^{{x}} −{x}^{\mathrm{3}} −\mathrm{1}\:\mathrm{and}\:\mathrm{then}\:\mathrm{approximating} \\ $$$${x}=−.\mathrm{845839} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{3}.\mathrm{22064} \\ $$
