  (18+5x)×3=309
$$ \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{18}+\mathrm{5x}\right)×\mathrm{3}=\mathrm{309} \\ $$

I′ve resolved it for x.    15+5x=309/3=103  5x=103−15=88  x=((88)/5)=17.6  S={x=17.6}
$$\mathrm{I}'\mathrm{ve}\:\mathrm{resolved}\:\mathrm{it}\:\mathrm{for}\:{x}. \\ $$$$ \\ $$$$\mathrm{15}+\mathrm{5}{x}=\mathrm{309}/\mathrm{3}=\mathrm{103} \\ $$$$\mathrm{5}{x}=\mathrm{103}−\mathrm{15}=\mathrm{88} \\ $$$${x}=\frac{\mathrm{88}}{\mathrm{5}}=\mathrm{17}.\mathrm{6} \\ $$$$\mathrm{S}=\left\{{x}=\mathrm{17}.\mathrm{6}\right\} \\ $$

you made a typo: it′s 18 not 15

  Yes, you are right ! Thank you.    18+5x=103  So, x=((103−18)/5)=17  So, S = {x=17}
