ax^2 +bx+c=0  is an equation with solution:  x=((−b±(√(b^2 −4ac)))/(2a))  for Δ=b^2 −4ac, if Δ<0,  there exists at least one complex solution.
$${ax}^{\mathrm{2}} +{bx}+{c}=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$$\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{an}\:\mathrm{equation}\:\mathrm{with}\:\mathrm{solution}: \\ $$$${x}=\frac{−{b}\pm\sqrt{{b}^{\mathrm{2}} −\mathrm{4}{ac}}}{\mathrm{2}{a}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{for}\:\Delta={b}^{\mathrm{2}} −\mathrm{4}{ac},\:\mathrm{if}\:\Delta<\mathrm{0}, \\ $$$$\mathrm{there}\:\mathrm{exists}\:\mathrm{at}\:\mathrm{least}\:\mathrm{one}\:\mathrm{complex}\:\mathrm{solution}. \\ $$
