3^x +3^(−x) is a “parabola” with minimum 2 at x=0 3−(x−3)^2 is a parabola with maximum 3 at x=3 these curves don′t intersect in R^2
$$\mathrm{3}^{{x}} +\mathrm{3}^{−{x}} \:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{a}\:“\mathrm{parabola}''\:\mathrm{with}\:\mathrm{minimum}\:\mathrm{2}\:\mathrm{at} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$$\mathrm{3}−\left({x}−\mathrm{3}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} \:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{a}\:\mathrm{parabola}\:\mathrm{with}\:\mathrm{maximum}\:\mathrm{3}\:\mathrm{at} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{3} \\ $$$$\mathrm{these}\:\mathrm{curves}\:\mathrm{don}'\mathrm{t}\:\mathrm{intersect}\:\mathrm{in}\:\mathbb{R}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$
