solve x^3 −2[x]=5
$${solve} \\ $$$${x}^{\mathrm{3}} −\mathrm{2}\left[{x}\right]=\mathrm{5} \\ $$

(1) 1<x<2 x^3 =7 ⇒ x=7^(1/3) (2) 2<x<3 x^3 =9 ⇒ x=9^(1/3)
$$\left(\mathrm{1}\right)\:\:\mathrm{1}<{x}<\mathrm{2} \\ $$$${x}^{\mathrm{3}} =\mathrm{7}\:\Rightarrow\:{x}=\mathrm{7}^{\mathrm{1}/\mathrm{3}} \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{2}\right)\:\:\mathrm{2}<{x}<\mathrm{3} \\ $$$${x}^{\mathrm{3}} =\mathrm{9}\:\Rightarrow\:{x}=\mathrm{9}^{\mathrm{1}/\mathrm{3}} \\ $$
