cos α = cos α ((a^2 + 6^2 − 4^2 )/(2.a.6)) = ((b^2 + 6^2 − 4^2 )/(2.b.6)) ((a^2 + 20)/a) = ((b^2 + 20)/b) a^2 b + 20b = ab^(2 ) + 20a (a − b)(ab − 20) = 0 a = b (rejected) ab = 20

by drawing two heights: 36 − (a + ((b−a)/2))^2 =16 − (((b−a)/2))^2 20 = a^2 + a(b−a) 20 = ab
