yes sir. i meant x^3 −x^2 indeed.
$${yes}\:{sir}.\:{i}\:{meant}\:{x}^{\mathrm{3}} −{x}^{\mathrm{2}} \:{indeed}. \\ $$

  x^5 +x+1=(x^3 −x^2 +1)(x^2 +x+1)=0 ⇒^(if x∈R) x^3 −x^2 =−1 ✓
$$ \\ $$$${x}^{\mathrm{5}} +{x}+\mathrm{1}=\left({x}^{\mathrm{3}} −{x}^{\mathrm{2}} +\mathrm{1}\right)\left({x}^{\mathrm{2}} +{x}+\mathrm{1}\right)=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$$\overset{{if}\:\:{x}\in\mathbb{R}} {\Rightarrow}\:{x}^{\mathrm{3}} −{x}^{\mathrm{2}} =−\mathrm{1}\:\checkmark \\ $$
