In a ABC triangle the side a=6 and c^2 −b^2 =66. Calculate the projections of sides b and c on a.

projections of sides b on a = ((17)/2)
$$\mathrm{projections}\:\mathrm{of}\:\mathrm{sides}\:\mathrm{b}\:\mathrm{on}\:\mathrm{a}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{17}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$

projections sides c on a = ((17)/2)−6=(5/2)
$$\mathrm{projections}\:\mathrm{sides}\:\mathrm{c}\:\mathrm{on}\:\mathrm{a}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{17}}{\mathrm{2}}−\mathrm{6}=\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$
