$$\left(1\right)\pi -\alpha +\pi -\beta +x+y=2\pi$$$$x+y=\alpha +\beta$$$$\left(2\right)\alpha +y+\beta ={180}^o$$$$\Rightarrow \alpha +\beta ={180}^o-y$$$$thenx+y={180}^o-y$$$$\iff x+2y={180}^o$$
