Answered by Dwaipayan Shikari last updated on 11/Jul/20

(√x)+(1/(√x))=17 (√(((√x)+(1/(√x)))^2 −2−143))=(√(17^2 −145))=12

$$\sqrt{{x}}+\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\sqrt{{x}}}=\mathrm{17} \\ $$$$\:\:\:\:\:\:\sqrt{\left(\sqrt{{x}}+\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\sqrt{{x}}}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} −\mathrm{2}−\mathrm{143}}=\sqrt{\mathrm{17}^{\mathrm{2}} −\mathrm{145}}=\mathrm{12} \\ $$
