$$\frac{1248+x}{936}=\frac{3}{4}$$$$4(1248+x)=3\times 936$$$$4992+4x=2808$$$$4x=-2184$$$$x=-546$$$$\mathrm{So}\mathrm{your}\mathrm{question}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{wrong}$$$$\mathrm{If}\mathrm{ratio}\mathrm{is}\frac{4}{3}\mathrm{then}\mathrm{books}\mathrm{bought}\mathrm{is}0.$$
