((√3)/4)(2a)^2 −3×((π/3)/(2π))πa^2 = ((√3)−(π/2))a^2 (4)

34(2a)23×π32ππa2=(3π2)a2(4)

Area of the triangle between these points=(1/2).((√3)/2)4a^2 cm^2 It is a equilateral tringle with ′2a′ cm each side Angle between points=60° So area nested by the 3 semicircles are 3(((60°)/(360°))×πa^2 )=((πa^2 )/2)cm^2 Area of the shaded region=((√3)a^2 −((πa^2 )/2))=(((2(√3)−π)/2))a^2 cm^2
